They seem to know what customers need and have 'done it all before' so you are not on your own even if you are the world's expert on SSL Certificates and all their uses like me! you probably only reuse this knowledge several times a year and it's good to have a service provider to help your rusty brain through every step of buying, installing and renewing SSL Certificates. The could, however, provide more up-to-date help for installing / renewing on Mac OS X Server App.

Probably the poorest customer support in human history. They do actually come back to you but it's always the same robotic copy/paste response.

We had issues with remote access to a new nas server that were resolved with GoDaddy's patience and assistance.

Go to their site, find SSL Cert. you want, order it, wait a few minutes for emails, go back on their site, confirm and download. That's it.

it is a little difficult to install the ssl. i installed twice. the first ssl cert was easy enough, but then i forgot how to do it the second time. I called godaddy and they told me to use the online chat, and they helped me out very well. I had most everything set, except for one or two things and they knocked it out fast. Then they checked the ssl for me and made sure everything was set up properly. Good service and good customer service. They are a good company.

As of this date, GoDaddy cannot issue SHA1 cross certificates for driver signing. GoDaddy will only issue SHA256 certificates. For example, suppose you want your driver to run on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Windows 8 supports signatures created with the SHA256 hashing algorithm, but Windows 7 does not. For Windows 7, you need a signature created with the SHA1 hashing algorithm. [Regarding their domain name registry service, I have domains that I either own or manage from GoDaddy. I also manage a few website SSL certificates from GoDaddy. They are fine for those two services once you figure out how to navigate their web management interface. 4/5 stars for those two services.]

Very easy to purchase. Very competitive pricing, clear and easy to use website, and good support make GoDaddy a no-brainer if you need widely accepted SSL certificates without paying the higher cost elsewhere.
