DigiCert SSL Certificate Reviews

Signed up for a code-signing cert, used my work address and phone. My required ID was issued with my home address. Bobby J in customer support cleared that hurdle by calling me at home to confirm my identity, and the cert was issued. Very quick and painless!

I can't say enough about how helpful Digicert support is. I have called recently with several complicated questions involving document signing certs and everyone I have talked to has been knowledgable and helpful. These guys do it right.

We bought a certificate using a CSR with a CNG private key, but the application didn't accept it. With DigiCert we could rekey the certificate at no cost using a modified CSR. This is outstanding customer service, and you don't have to worry if you don't get the CSR right the first time. 5 stars for that from me.

I'm very new to all of this, and support walked me through the entire process while educating me on the various options, how the code signing process works, information on verification and various operating system differences, and a host of other educational info. I went from "Wait.. what's code signing?" to a pro in a matter of one CS conversation. I run a Wiki from Confluence, I know that was my first mistake but it's here because of me and it's my problem. Anyway if you are not familiar Confluence is a popular Wiki created by Atlassian. The problem is that software is too complicated and you pretty much have to be a Confluence programmer to understand and maintain it. Now when I purchased this product I also purchased support to get around the complexity but I was in for an eye opening experience. Confluence support is farce, they have spent more time creating a list of things that they will not help you with then the help they provide. This is where Kenyon from Digicert comes in. After spending a week with Confluence trying to get the specifics to do something as simple as renew my SSL certificate I was nowhere. They flat out sent me an email which said I have to hire a Confluence programmer to assist any further. Well after calming down I called Digicert for help and Kenyon answered, he was the opposite of Confluence support in that he genuinely wanted to help me. Now if anybody could have told me what I needed was out of scope it could have been Kenyon but unlike Confluence the creator of the product , Kenyon said let's get it done and walked me through the process in less than 20 minutes. Something I couldn't get the people I pay for support to do in over a week of pleading and begging. Kenyon you are the man and I am so happy you understand customer service and you must enjoy your job because it shows. Well done and never change!!
