Entrust SSL Certificate Reviews

Out of all ssl vendors, entrust has service has been the most helpful and straightforward. The only confusing part is figuring out what type of a certificate is needed on the client side. However, entrust helped issue/migrate to new certs even if I made a mistake with the purchase.

Entrust's online manager makes it very easy to create/renew/remove a variety of SSL certificates. Certificates are generated instantly upon request. Their customer support is excellent, I've never had a ticket open with them for more than a day. All in all, we've had an outstanding experience using Entrust.

Entrust has made certificate management easy with cert expiration notices, cert renewal etc... Nothing but good comments for Entrust!

I compared multiple provider and nothing even come close to the easy of use in creating our cert needs. Customer service is exceptional as well.

Our company had been using Entrust for a while managing certificates independently, which meant each cert request had to be verified. The process was fairly simple and well rehearsed, but we usually spent about 3 days through the manual verification process. After some review (and once we qualified with the right # of certs), we switched to the online self management system offered by Entrust - and now we can literally revoke, renew, and buy new certificates at a moment's notice. Being a small organization, the slight decrease in security (by no longer verifying per cert) is a small risk compared to the massive return in efficiency and confidence. Entrust's online management system gives you a one-stop-shop for certificate statuses, management, and actions so you're never caught off guard when a cert is to expire since you can actually see all your certs in one place and plan for expiry periods through the year(s). Additionally, you don't have to store certs or cert information anywhere since it's available through their system, not to mention avoiding having a secondary tracking system. Highly recommended!

Excellent interface. Quickly order certs from sales. Able to process csr requests and pick up crt instantly.

We switched from VeriSign to Entrust about three years ago. Initially, the price difference on UC Certs prompted our move. While managing that UC Cert, we appreciated the better website, the immediate delivery of certificates and the overall pricing. As a result, we moved all of certificates to Entrust, upon renewal. There are certainly cheaper products in the market, but it is *highly* unlikely that we would even consider them. Entrust provides a solid product for a fair price with exceptional service. And, that is exactly what we want.

Overall working with Entrust has been very easy and the sales/technical teams are always helpful and professional. However, the key isn't just having nice people answer the phone and quick to respond back to us. The real key is the product being delivered. Does it work? Does it do what it was supposed to do? Does it provide and instill confidence that our services will stand up to any audit and security test? Yes, we need fast delivery and responsiveness. Sure, Entrust is responsive and the products are delivered fast and efficiently. But, without the right product none of that matters. Our customers are the most important asset our company has. They need to be confident our solutions provide the services they need, but sometimes even more important today they need to be 100% confident their communication and data is secure with us. Using Entrust Certificates has allowed us to show our customers we take security seriously. Entrust has a great reputation in the security technical marketplace. Showing our customers that we partner with Entrust instills even greater confidence when using our services. Our customers know they can trust our environment and communications infrastructure. We look forward to continuing to use the products and services Entrust provides. As an Internet customer based organization we rely on Entrust and other critical vendors to continue to develop secure technical solutions which allow us to focus on our core services.

I have heard complaints from my application developers on the amount of time the Entrust logo takes to load on the page. I just use the web portal to issue/revoke certificates and it's nice and easy to use. A great service when you have 50+ SSL certs to manage.

I have been very pleased with Entrust product and services. We have used them for a number of years and have always been happy with the service. We switched from Verisign due to cost and poor customer service.
