Have been purchasing Comodo Code Signing and SSL Certificates for several years. Today we purchased an SSL EV MDC https://www.instantssl.com/ssl-certificate-products/ev-mdc-ssl-certificate.html for use with multiple domains and subdomains. Had major issues with support at our dedicated servers host provider 1&1, we have hosted servers with them for several years. They refused to issue Certificate Signing Request CSR to enable Comodo's validation process and thereafter allow us to install and use Comodo on our 1&1 dedicated managed server. 1&1 want us to purchase SSL that they are selling. Called Comodo support, no problem is too big... spent all the time with me for support, got most of the processes done while I was on the phone, CSR, validations, etc. Now the next challenge is to get the certificates installed and working on 1&1 dedicated managed server.

It took a few days to get the certificate as we needed to go through organisation validation but our account manager (Cambri) was very helpful and prompt in responding to all our queries and expediting the process. Comodo CA invited me to provide a review, and this is my honest opinion.

I needed a certificate for Apache Tomcat 8.5 running on Amazon AWS. Certificate cost was very good. Generation / acquisition process was good. Documentation was fair and could be improved. (Perhaps not many customers need certificates for Tomcat?) What was especially valuable was the customer support I received from Moe Ghamlouch. I needed my certificate reissued and Moe got back to me the same day with instructions on what I needed to do next. I sent him what he requested and received the new certificate within the hour. I had another question, and again I received a prompt response. Got to say that you do need some technical / IT experience as their documentation is not a "dummy 1-2-3" checklist. In the end, I got the certificate installed. I paid for a 3 year certificate yet the one issued was for 2 yrs 3 months. I contacted Moe again and received a prompt response explaining that another 9 month certificate will come later. Some of my questions might have seemed mundane or trivial (online documentation could help here) but at no time did Moe make me feel like I was inconveniencing him. Kudos to Moe! Great job.

My last interaction with Comodo was through agent Pushpi Sardana, and I'm very satisfied with the outcome. Everything was resolved quickly and professionally. We received the certificates in less than 24 hours from the moment of certificate requests submission. However, I would like to note that solving issues with Comodo can take a while sometimes (such as domain validation of org domains.) *Comodo CA invited me to provide a review, and this is my honest opinion.*
