Cert collection is too difficult

Relying on IE only for windows env to retrieve cert is not a very good choice nowadays. From the reseller, there is no indicator says when purchasing code signing cert need to use IE only for windows environment. Nowadays, users will use Chrome or Chromium Edge as default browser in windows environment. How can an ordinary user know only IE is the valid browser which has to be started to use at the very beginning when start providing information for the cert request. I am just a beginner to try code signing which the unsuccessful collection of cert really drove me crazy. Second, the call back validation is way too clumsy. Nowadays, not all reception desk phone will be 24 hours standby, or may be link up with machine. This call back arrangement dragged us more than a week to complete the purchase. I really don't like all the above.
