Purchased a SSL from Comodo, and the verification process began. However, the phone number listed by Dun & Bradstreet for my firm was wrong (however, not phone number listed on Google, my website, or any of the legal directories I am listed in: they all match my application). So, I call to straighten the situation out. The call center drone I talked to wanted me to register with one of several white pages sites, correct the D&B information, etc. I fixed D&B's info (which required a registration, but okay they are D&B), but they also say it could take "up to 6 weeks" to fix the listing. The white pages sites were sketchy looking to me, and the first one whitepages.com, wanted money to fix my listing. I am buying a SSL for SECURITY!!! I am not giving my information to companies I don't trust. The support line would not deviate from their script. They would not transfer me to a supervisor or level two support, or ANY one that could help. I finally asked that they fix the problem today, tell me how to fix it today, or refund my money today. The support staff then told me to send an email to a refund email address. No. Fix it or refund it. If you cannot do that, you are not a support line; you are a useless line. So, now the process begins to get my money back. Use someone else, they aren't worth the trouble.
