I have had domains and web sites for decades and dealt with a lot of cert issuers. I have also had a lot of problems, primarily certs expiring without me knowing it and my online stores going down. Digicert has been the solution for me for the past couple years. I won't use anybody else.

DigiCert is absolutely the best SSL provider that there is. I came across them many years ago when I was searching for a provider that understood nginx configs. I knew they were the right one when I saw that they had detailed instructions on SSL for nginx. Since then, I have used them for many clients and employers, and they have always had amazing service. Don't use anyone else.

I switched to DigiCert nearly 10 years ago from VeriSign and I have NEVER looked back. The management of my certificates is easy and buying new ones or renewing current one is just as simple. The cost of the certificates is VERY competitive if not the best. Where DigiCert really shines though is their support. I have only had to contact them about a dozen times throughout the years but every single time I have contacted them I have NEVER BEEN DISAPPOINTED!!! OUTSTANDING SUPPORT and the reps are super FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS on top of being GREAT. If you make the switch to them I promise you won't regret it and you will be writing reviews like this one!

I'd been working with each and every SSL Issuer on the market at some point of my career. There are not much left today anyway after Verisign bought almost everyone. We have several dozens of different certificates and dealing with all of them always was kind of pain. After we left our last provider two years ago because they wanted to charge us Â£5000 for some "security package" and "customer area improvements" we decided to try DigiCert. It's a breath of fresh air! Speaking with their sales (hello Sam!) and support brightens my day (seriously). The customer area (MPKI) works very quick, and uses normal modern web2.0 things (for some reason it's not so common among other SSL issuers) and you can clearly see what you have and what you need to do (renew, approve, confirm etc). They even call me a week before a certificate is going to expire! Spoke with their support many times, all my problems were solved in a matter of minutes 24/7. And the prices are much lower then any other premium issuer.
