The very, very worst company I've ever dealt with

We write code for Windows Mobile and, as such, have to get that code signed. In order to do this, you need to purchase signing events from one of the approved vendors. These are Versign and Geotrust, but as these are now both the same company, it's basically Geotrust. We've been using this for years, but in December we had to renew our account due to a change of company name. And that's where the fun started... I have never, in my entire life in IT, dealt with a set of companies that has so little idea about how its own processes work. Every person does one job, and only one job. If they can't fix your problem, you're basically stuffed unless by some chance they know someone else that can. Technical bounce you to accounts and accounts bounce you back to technical, but in truth both are equally inept. In short, it took us nearly 4 months to renew our account, and even now, nearly 5 months later, we still can't get them to issue an invoice that matches the amount we paid. Shockingly bad. I will never use either Verisign or Geotrust again in my professional life and can 100% recommend DigiCert, who are like a breath of fresh air in comparison. I would formally complain to them, except that I can't find anyone whose job it is to look after complaints. And, frankly, I just want to be shut of them so I never have to deal with them again. Do business with them at your peril.
