We have multiple certificates with Comodo and have been using Comodo for about 1 year after moving from Symantec. The service is very knowledgeable and professional. The Enterprise console (CCM) that we're using is extremely well designed and easy to follow. Additional tools and services that are available (such as agent-based certificate renewal) are very beneficial. Overall experience is really good. Thanks Comodo team!

We set up a Comodo reseller account to save money for our customers. We have been a Thawte reseller for many years. OUR BAD! Comodo requires you pay an upfront deposit, instead of credit card on file, in order to buy into a discounted pricing tier. Their reseller portal is awful, non-intuitive, and functions seem to go on and off at random. Each cert we purchased, or tried to purchase, required chat support to facilitate; never mind their due diligence to issue. How hard can it be? The time it takes to properly choose and apply for an SSL cert takes way longer than Thawte (much better site and process). When we requested a refund of our $5k deposit we received an email from a generic commodo email address stating deposits are not refundable. At least Thawte has an actual account rep you can communicate with. All in all, we find Comodo more expensive due to the time and frustration factors. Save your money (and time) by trying someone else. Apparently Comodo doe not have a loyalty model or care about customer satisfaction.

This review is going to be another in a pattern that seems to be apparent on this board. Attempted to purchase email security certificates for the guys in the office, and after sending in our business license and bank statement and modifying the contact info on our domain to reflect exactly what was requested by Comodo, and still they won't issue the certs. Now they want us to pay for a name search and provide a screenshot of the corporate directory listing. Asking for a refund and moving on to another provider. Wish I would have read the reviews on here first I wouldn't have wasted my time with Comodo.

I requested a refund from Comodo. I'd purchased a certificate under my business, Corvus Computing LLC (a California company). I'm the founder/owner/legal entity of this California business. I was very frustrated at not being able to "prove" the physical address of Corvus Computing LLC even though it is listed on State of California's Secretary of State business web page with "active" status. I don't pay minimal 800/year tax for nothing! I also have a valid City of Sunnyvale business license. None of these were helpful to prove physical address. The only good news was the site provided somewhat good directions on how to install the certificate. Rather than deal with round-and-round arguing with tech support, I simply requested a refund and bought my cert from another authority. Took me less than 10 minutes to install and works.

Most terrible service, difficult , complicated and unprofessional to deal with. Go somewhere else you will safe time and money

I have been a client of Comodo for over 3 years. I am currently using their certificate manager website to order and manage all my companies SSL and code signing certificates. The tech support and client services staff in the Comodo organization are client oriented. They are quick to respond and provide support when it is needed. The website is pretty straight forward and makes it easy to organize and manage our companies certificates. Steve Doonan SunGard Computer Services

I really appreciate Comodo. This i the best certificate i have ever used.

I used hostgator to install the SSL as I've tried in the past. Very easy, set up in a day. Love it.
