After a few hours of going through tutorials I finally found somewhere that showed me how to install the certificates properly. It's all working great now but if you are looking for a certificate provider with good support don't choose this one.

We purchased the wildcard cert so we could use it on several servers as per their license. EVERY time we request a cert it takes DAYS and DAYS and DAYS!!!! We will definitely be taking our business elsewhere when this damn thing expires.

Installed wildcard SSL, had chain trust problems and called support. Many calls to support, each time it was here's an answer, try it and call back. (Basically get rid of customer as quick as possible). Sent in documentation 3 times before they got it. Finally got to advanced support which resolved the problem. Overall not very happy with Comodo.

I've helped many clients getting their COMODO EV certificates issued and installed. COMODO EV validation support team is available 24 hours per day during the weekdays, and they are very responsive and helpful. If the documents provided to the validation team was OK (and we've take care the client to understand how to do them the right way) we've got the COMODO EV issued in less than 48 hours! That's far faster than any other CA, and as I said, not for one EV certificate, but for all of them.

If you are looking for a comodo SSL certificate, I would recommend finding a reseller (I used namecheap.com, 8.95 a year for 2 and 3 years, 9 for one) because the official comodo prices are high. But my positive ssl certificate was easy to request, and it was approved and issued within a minute. No issues and works just as I expected.

Absolutley appalling. When trying to validate my UK business they stated that they could not find it listed in American directories (what a surprise). Obviuosly Comodo think the worlld stops at California. Days later a still no response despite having been supplied with company certificate and bank statement. It's like dealing with kndergarden students.

I ordered an SSL certificate through Host Gator, and Comodo sent documentation much faster than I expected. Host Gator caused a bit of a problem, but it was resolved quickly. They made the process pretty painless, especially since I've never entered the SSL world before. Thank you!

Comodo uses a number of resellers, which can cause confusion for installers. Additionally, like many SSL retailers, they do not state for newbies (thankfully I was not one) that you need a dedicated IP for your domain. Additionally Comodo is still selling SHA1 certificates and has made no move to upgrade or change the keys for existing users to SHA2 which means in some browsers such as chrome owned by google who are retiring their support for SHA1 certificates, the browser shows wrongly - "Identity Not Verified" which can mislead clientele. Although personally I think Google should not be doing this and should simply liaise better with Comodo to help us all have a happy internet experience.

Very Slow response from their support team. gave up after few days of back and forth.. Went and purchase from Geotrust, got my certificate and ready to go!! Their support claimed to be in NJ USA, but they are outside US..

My experience was poor. I am busy starting a Company so have the name reserved in the UK at Companies House. They take no notice of that situation in requesting documentary evidence that clearly cannot be provided until you are trading. I could not seem to get this through to them. In frustration I switched to making an individual application instead. I provided them with everything they asked for: passport, bank statement, utility bill, WHoIS information and proof of domain ownership - only for them to then come back and ask me to then get everything signed off by a Lawyer at my own cost. This was the first time this had been mentioned. Given they already had all the ID required for any normal financial transaction in the UK I considered this unreasonable and cancelled my order. In my view, they have proven to be quite inflexible and difficult to communicate with.

Dreadful experience. I ordered a code-signing certificate and sent them my notarized documents. The notary is not full-time and did not list her phone number in an online directory. So they refused to issue the certificate. (Entered 0 but 1 was the minimum allowed) I actually had my docs authenticated TWICE by two separate notaries but they kept nit-picking and making ridiculous demands.

They make the worst experience come through. Every request needs to be checked with the company you work. This call may take days, even after making an appointment they do not call. Also the signed agreements get lost so they keep on asking you to sign the agreement again and again. You are lucky to get your certificate in a week. Be prepared for high blood pressure...

I purchased the SSL Premium Wildcard certificate through a Comodo reseller (NameCheap, Inc). For nearly 45 days they've been making requests to submit documents. When we requested a refund they asked us to email refunds(at)comodo.com. We submitted 5 requests to that email. The first request asked us to "resubmit" our application before they processed the refund. We asked them again to process the refund. The final email stated as follows: "Dear Customer, After reviewing your order I can see that you have placed this order through one of our resellers (NameCheap, Inc.). Due to this order being placed through a third party, we cannot refund you directly. You must contact this reseller for a refund. Should you have any queries feel free to contact us again. Thanks for contacting the Accounts Department" Absolutely infuriating. Unless you want to go through this frustration, I implore you to think twice about the Comodo service.
