Due to a specific technical setup the automatic order system could not be used. Together with Globalsign support this issue was solved fast.

Globalsign talked me through the process of registering as a customer to requesting the certificate. As I only purchase certificates once a year, having someone to talk me through the convoluted process again is great, especially as the technology changes every time I renew, so my notes from last time are nearly useless. The technical process is complex, partly due to the security diligence of the Globalsign, partly because renewing is just a messy process. Having someone on on the phone to guide you through is great. In previous years with other vendors, it's taken 3 attempts to order the certificate, because I made the wrong choice at some point in the process. Getting the forms filled in correctly first time saved a lot of effort.

We ordered an SSL certification from one of their resellers 2 months ago using 123-reg and are still waiting for it to be validated. They rejected the first 3 submissions and we are waiting for our 4th attempt. With each submission they have found something new wrong despite only correcting the data they pointed out. Our 3rd submission we waited 6 weeks before finally hearing back that it was rejected because the OU field wasn't empty! Even though it should not be empty because the SSL cert was for a division of a Ltd company. Poor service, poor communication, little to no explanation and doesn't respond to reasonable questions. AVOID!

The managed ssl product quality is very good and pricing is good (particularly having moved from VeriSign). But what we really like is their fantastic customer service, *every* time.
