The bottom line is that I was issued my code signing certificate fairly quickly, it was the right type, and all the associated information was correct. Getting to that outcome, however, was very frustrating. It was difficult to understand the process and how to opt for the correct certificate on the website. A couple of very responsive and courteous sales support folks talked me through the process, but I got the feeling that neither was up-to-date on how their system works from the perspective of a customer. I'll likely go back to GlobalSign when it's time to renew the certificate, but only because I'll have a jump start on understanding the process this time.

The vetting process at GlobalSign was, at the very least, quite rigorous. It was handled by Alicia Caldwell, who was patient, amiable, competent and quite helpful in the process. As far as the not-so-simple-for-the-novice installation process is concerned, Jhoeralynn Enebrad was also quite patient, amiable and competent.

The support people is good and helpful, but the system is not that good. Response slow, espcially when we need urgent help. We have our account suspended, the support guy said it was due to some one hack your system, this is not you guy should do for protecting the users, and you should at least notice us instead of we find it when we need to logon. Wanted to use this to send encrypted email using outlook. I had difficulty installing the certificates, did chat, and they worked pretty well. I was still struggling and called, and they worked through the issue perfectly. Very satisfied with the overall experience. For the price, you can't go wrong.

Partly due to the recent hacking troubles in the SSL industry, getting the ball rolling on purchasing this cert was rough. There's a wealth of information about how to buy and install SSL on GlobalSign's website, but if the application process doesn't go EXACTLY as the help documents indicate you have the following problems: 1) The error pages are not clear, and provide almost no relevant instructions. 2) Dialing the 877 number for sales usually results in having to leave a message, and in my experience leaving messages is a dead end. I was never once called back. 3) The sales team (who you reach dialing their 800 number, IF someone answers) answers the phone without identifying themselves as even working for GlobalSign (odd, but forgivable?), and about 1/3 of them do not seem like they know much about the product they sell, or the ordering process. All problems seem to disappear when you reach one who knows at least a little about their product. The technical team that you can talk to by chat (I was in touch with Cherilyn) is very good at what they do, and resolve issues quickly.

I wanted to order online a code signing certificate for my adobe air application. The online purchase procedure was a real hassle. Wrong price showing up over and over again, coupon code not working... Took me 2 days to get it... Fortunately the chat support was very helpfull. So that deserves a good review I thought :)

Just have wait a little until an advisor connects, and that's all: She was able to help to resolve my problems really quick. It's really one of the best support services I've known.
